Allocations and Accountability Team
The Allocations and Accountability Team reviews grant applications and is made up of representatives from, City and County government, funders, Community Action agency, and those with lived experience. The team reviews all applications using a standardized review sheet developed by the CoC team. Their funding recommendations are presented to the CoC Board for approval. The Allocations and Accountability team also provides feedback and recommendations to applicants, who are given an opportunity to revise their budget to align with the committee's recommendations. The team meets monthly from 9-10:30 a.m. on the 1st Thursday via Zoom.
Data Team
The Data team is comprised of HMIS agency administrators and users representing each agency participating in HMIS within the CoC, along with partners from non-HMIS participating agencies with a vested interest in the data and reporting activities of the CoC. Meets monthly, 3-4 p.m. on 2nd Wednesday.
Kalamazoo Shelter Group
The Kalamazoo Shelter Committee is comprised of local shelter providers, service providers, and public health leaders to address short term crisis within emergency sheltering. This group provides updates, shares resources, and has discussions. The shelter group meets monthly, 4th Friday, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. via Zoom.
Coordinated Entry (CE) Committee
The primary role of the CE Committee is to provide oversight and review to the Coordinated Entry system for households experiencing homelessness to be served by both temporary and permanent housing, according to eligibility and service standards of the community and Organize Coordinated Entry into Kalamazoo’s homeless serving sector. This group is currently on hold while the CoC is reimagining the Coordinated Entry System.
Systems of Care Committee
The Systems of Care Committee serves as the CoC interagency Team to identify and eradicate barriers that prevent or limit access to housing and services in the community. The committee focuses on planning and organizing to deliver equitable housing and services to meet the specific needs of people who are homeless as they move to stable housing and maximize self-sufficiency. Meets at 3 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month via Zoom in April, June, August, October and December.
