HUD COC Grant

  • The CoC invites applications under HUD’s Continuum of Care (CoC) Program Competition for renewal, new, and bonus projects. The opening of this local competition for projects serving Kalamazoo County is in accordance with the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the given year Continuum of Care Program by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
  • The CoC concurrently considers both renewal project applications as well as new and bonus projects (including permanent housing bonus projects and domestic violence bonus projects). The CoC submits one collaborative “Continuum of Care Application” that reflects community-wide planning and performance. The score received for that application is applied to funding requested for that years funds
  • 24 CFR 578.37 states that CoC funds may be used for projects under four program components: permanent housing (including rapid rehousing and permanent supportive housing); transitional housing; Supportive Services Only; HMIS

FY 24 Continuum of Care Funding Opportunity

The HUD CoC Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the 2024 HUD Continuum of Care Program Competition was released July 31st, 2024, by the US Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and is now open.

The competition will close on Wednesday, October 30th, 2024.  The local application and supporting documents are due to CoC Director, Patrese Griffin via p.griffin@uwscmi.org, by 4pm Tuesday September 17th, 2024.

The amounts for our CoC are outlined below:

  • Estimated ARD: $1,926,557
  • Tier 1: $1,733,901
  • CoC Bonus: $296,645
  • DV Bonus: $370,806
  • CoC Planning: $123,602

NOTE: *Please label attachments with the same corresponding title, identified by HUD.

*The CoC will consider all project types but will more heavily prioritize PSH and TH-RRH projects, respectively.
